Je l'ai créé pour présenter mes débuts dans la couture amateure et échanger autour de cette activité. Souvent mécontent des vêtements proposés en magasin, je me suis dit que créer mes propres habits allierait tout ce que je ne trouve pas dans le commerce : taille, style, économie et fierté. J'ai décidé de me mettre à cette activité en janvier 2015, quelques mois après avoir découvert l'émission Cousu Main d'M6. J'ai commencé par m'acheter des patrons et me former à l'aide de Youtube, de nombreux blogs, sites, forums et plus tard quelques livres, mais comme presque tous s'adressent majoritairement aux femmes, j'ai eu l'envie de créer un espace où on parlerait de couture pour hommes (mais pas uniquement).

I started this blog with the aim to discuss with people interested in amateur sewing. After so many disappointments in stores, I decided to make my own clothing. In doing so, I hoped to get what I have never got in any stores: my size, my own style, low prices and pride altogether. So, I launched into this hobby. It was in January 2015, a few months after I came across the TV show "Cousu Main" (the French version of The Great British Sewing Bee) on M6 French channel. A that time, I began to buy patterns and to learn how to sew on Youtube, numerous blogs, websites and forums, and later in books. However, since most of them deal with womenswear, I thought *menswear (but not only) amateur sewing* would be an interesting topic to  talk about.

J'aimerais donc partager ici des photos commentées de mes réalisations - réussies et ratées -, mes lectures, mes doutes, mes questionnements, et mes éventuels conseils, en espérant que les gens qui me liront auront plaisir à partager les leurs aussi. Voilà en quelques mots ce qui vous attend au bout du Fil... et garçon. 

Practically speaking, I will share on this blog pictures and comments on my own creations - successful and failed alike -, my readings, my doubts, my questions, and my humble advice, with the hope that my readers will have the pleasure to share theirs too. By the end, you English readers might have found out that I am not a native speaker, but like with sewing, I keep (and love) learning it! ^^
